S. MICHAEL CALLAHAN
Christopher is the founding principal of and design director of Counts Studio. He brings over 15 years of award-winning design leadership experience to all of our projects. He is a Professor of Design, a Fellow of the American Academy in Rome, and Cooper Hewitt National Design Award Nominee. He earned his BLA from the University of Georgia, and his MLA from Harvard University.
Maria is involved of all aspects of the management, project administration, and business development of the firm. She brings a wealth of passion, talent, and enthusiasm to our projects. Maria is an adjunct professor, published author, and an award-winning designer. She earned her BLA from Cornell University, and her MLA from the Rhode Island School of Design.
Michael's deep knowledge and passion for planting design, adaptive ecologies, and principles of sustainability underpin his contributions. He is responsible for ensuring the highest level of ecological performance, environmental management, and project constructibility possible.
Michael earned his BLA from the University of Georgia and his MLA from Iowa State University.
Bryan leads design development, contract documentation, and construction implementation administration efforts at Counts Studio. His innovative approach to landscape technology, material expression, and construction implementation are an invaluable part of the firms collaborative design work. Bryan studied sculpture, architecture, and earned his BLA from Oklahoma State University.
